6 Tips to Finding the Best Las Vegas Deals

Congratulations! You’ve decided to visit Las Vegas. Now, Las Vegas is a great place to spend your holiday time but it isn’t necessarily the cheapest option, especially if you’re travelling with your family. Let me offer you 6 tips to help you save some money and perhaps make your trip more enjoyable.

Find Contact an expert

The first tip and the best advice I can give you is to visit a specialist in Las Vegas holidays.  They are the best people to unearth the very best deals on hotels and flights. As well as that they will be able to pre-book those memorable holiday extras such as a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon, or tickets to a special show. Your Vegas holidays Tony Bennett Way in Vegasspecialist will usually be able to secure a better deal for you by arranging these extrasbefore you travel.

Pre-booking these extras will give you peace of mind knowing that they are secure and you’ll save precious vacation time by not having to queue up when you’re at your destination.

Don’t buy a glass of wine or how to save money eating out

Although the cost of hotel rooms, even at the best places, is surprisingly reasonable, eating in the hotel is just the opposite. Drinks in particular can be horrendously expensive. Whether you’re in a party of two or twenty, try to come to an agreement on a choice of wine and order by the bottle. You’ll save a lot this way.

You might be better advised to forsake the hotel dining altogether, at least occasionally. Ask around and you’ll discover restaurants where you can partake of 2 meals and drinks for the price of one. And women’s libbers will love the clubs in Vegas which have ladies night specials – free drinks until 11pm for instance.

One free ride I don’t recommend is the free drinks in the casinos, that is, if you’re gambling. Most casinos will give you free drinks in the hope that you’ll get a bit tipsy and start throwing your money around. You need to keep a clear head when you’re at the gaming tables so pass on the drinks.

Don’t buy your gifts and other holiday nick-nacks in your hotel

Only if you’ve no other choice, avoid buying your souvenirs and other vacation miscellany such as suntan cream and headache pills in the hotel’s gift shop. You’ll get a much better deal at one of the local Walgreens or CVS pharmacies. There range of souvenirs is almost as good as their pharmacy sundries.

Shows

As with most things in Las Vegas deals can be had when buying show tickets. With few exceptions you will seldom need to pay the full price to see any of the shows. The reception of the hotel where the show is being held will be able to fix you up with a special ticket price if any are available, as will the box-office of non-hotel based shows
Of course the place to go for ticket bargains is Tix4Tonight. This organization has been selling discounted tickets for Las Vegas shows for years and has become something of a Vegas institution. Their tickets are for last minute deals and offer prices of up to half the box office price. They also have some great deals on tickets for “sold-out” shows. Tix4Tonight have ticket booths up and down the Strip so you should never be too far away from one.

Getting Around

Most of the attractions of a Las Vegas holiday are located on and around the Strip and fortunately most of the best places are clustered around the centre of this area. I say fortunately because the Strip is around four miles long and, in the heat of the day, this is a long way to walk.

The easiest way to get from the central area (MGM) to either end is to use the Las Vegas Monorail. The air-conditioned carriages stop at numerous hotels along the way and you can buy passes which save you money on several rides. There is also a free monorail which runs from the Excalibur hotel to the Mandalay Bay at the southern end of the Strip.

For me though, walking is the best way to get around. Apart from being free it’s the best way to take in the incredible sights of this extraordinary city. At night, when all the neon signs are blazing , taking a stroll along the Strip is what epitomises the lure of Las Vegas. Unlike some areas the Strip is a relatively safe place to walk in the evening as it’s always bustling and so brightly lit.

Hotels

Some of the Las Vegas hotels are almost a resort unto themselves. Sometimes it is possible to get a room upgrade at your chosen hotel simply by asking at the reception desk and paying a small premium. Again, however, your specialist Las Vegas holidays advisor can give you more information about upgrades.

Unless you have to it pays not to use the room service. Apart from the high cost of whatever you order, the waiter will expect a sizeable tip. Better to plan on taking your snacks and cups of coffee in one of the thousands of eating places along the Strip.

I hope that these simple tips will help to save you some cash and time on your holiday to Las Vegas. I hope also that they have whetted your appetite for your trip. Don’t forget to make early contact with a specialist in Las Vegas holidays. They will have the knowledge and expertise to make your visit the holiday of a lifetime.
