Things to do in Las Vegas for Families

You might not think that things to do in Las Vegas also include hotels that are children-friendly and many attractions that are geared especially for families.

THE FLAMINGO hotel resort is centrally located and offers good deals. Their lagoon-shaped pool has water slides and waterfalls, and there are four different pools within their fifteen-acre Family Vegastropical retreat. The wildlife habitat has flamingos, swans, ducks, turtles, and more.

The MONTE CARLO is not only relatively inexpensive but also has a lot of fast food in their food court that will please the children as well as a good kids menu

NEW YORK-NEW YORK has a roller coaster right in front of the hotel as well as virtual reality games and modern arcades inside.

CIRCUS CIRCUS is said to have "the most kid-centric activities per square foot". The hotel has the world's largest permanent circus with a large amusement park, rides including an amazing roller coaster, carnival games, high-flying trapeze shows, bumper cars, clown shows, and more. The shows are free!

The MGM GRAND Las Vegas has five pools and a winding river which kids can ride down on a tube. The free Lion Habitat is a jungle environment with 30 live lions that interchange daily.

Attractions that the children will especially enjoy, in addition to those already listed above, include the following:

At the Mandalay Bay there is a SHARK REEF. Also, DISNEY'S THE LION KING show with its songs and characters from the beloved animated movie.

There is a DOLPHIN HABITAT, a SECRET GARDEN, and Siegfried & Roy's WHITE TIGERS who live in style at the Mirage Hotel.

The FOUNTAINS outside the Bellagio Hotel are spectacular to watch as they spill into a large lake.

The CLOUD NINE BALLOON EXPERIENCE is a fun ride on a hot air balloon.

GAMESWORKS, next to the MGM Grand, has big screens and many games.

The LIED DISCOVERY MUSEUM gives the kids a chance to do interactive science projects and make scientific discoveries.

At the FORUM SHOPS AT CAESARS there are talking statues, motion machine rides, and a giant fish tank.

Pre-teens especially like the indoor cart racing at the POLE POSITION RACEWAY.

THE RAINFOREST CAFE lets the kids dine among animatronic animals and a 10,000-gallon aquarium.

At the CARNEGIE DELI at the Mirage Hotel, the sandwiches are so huge that the entire family may be able to share it for lunch!

At MARGARITAVILLE they feature a nice kids' menu, and giant pirates make balloon animals for the kids.

Fast food courts are numerous in Las Vegas, so it is easy to find places to feed the kids the way they want to eat.

M&M WORLD has four floors of "chocolate heaven"! The second floor has a rainbow wall of 22 M&M's colors. Souvenirs and collectors items are plentiful including candy dispensers, T-shirts, mugs, and even purses made from M&M's wrappers!

ETHEL M'S CHOCOLATE FACTORY may be seven miles from the Strip, but it is worth the trip because there is free admission and a fascinating look behind the scenes at candy making and generous free tasting.
